SketchUp What is SketchUp? (download info from Google on SketchUp.pdf)
This is modeling software that can be used for teaching students to construct 3D models of buildings or other objects. This tool can be used to help students visualize geometry and other mathematical concepts. With SketchUp students can learn about architecture and design full-scale 3D envirnoments.

Workshop Outcomes (5 Easy Pieces!)
In this workshop you'll:
  1. Explore ways SketchUp is being used in classes
    • Watch the third Infinite Thinking Machine Show "Living in 3D" features the Google tool SketchUp. The entire show is around 8 minutes. If you just want the SketchUp info start at 2:10 into the show. Click on above link to go to the show site.

      Once done, make sure you scroll down to the "Show Notes" on that same page for some additional links to SketchUp projects useful for the classroom.
  2. Download and practice SketchUp skills
  3. Plan and outline a SketchUp lesson or presentation for your students
  4. Upload and provide feedback on a colleague's lesson
  5. Evaluate the use of SketchUp for your curriculum
