Each of the schools in the SMUHSD has access to the Internet through the District Local Area Network (LAN). This access is provided through direct connections from each site to the District office and from the District Office to the County Office of Education. With this access, all students, teachers and staff bear the responsibility to use this access appropriately. All students, teachers and staff must sign an Acceptable Use Policy Agreement prior to using any of the technology assets of the SMUHSD. The Acceptable Use Policy agreement includes, but is not limited to:
  • Using abusive or threatening language
  • Viewing inappropriate graphic images.
  • Attempting to or obtaining access another's files
  • Attempting to or damaging computer systems or networks.
  • Disclosure of personal information while using electronic communication equipment.
  • Using the network for other than educational purposes.
